2 Killed 3 Injured in Rear End Collision | Federal Way Auto Accident Attorney
King5.com reports that on Sunday afternoon, a Ford Explorer approaching a red light at NE 110th St and Lake City Way NE drove into the back of a Hyundai Elantra that had stopped for the light. As a Seattle auto accident attorney, I see far too many accidents that have surprisingly tragic results. In this case, the car was pushed down Lake City Way and burst into flames. The two occupants of the car died at the scene. The SUV was driven by a man with his daughter and one of her friends in the back seat. The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Thanks to the efforts of two passersby, Joscelyne Grayson and Tyler Olsen, the two young girls were pulled out of the SUV. Seattle Police are investigating the accident. Investigators were not able to say how fast the SUV was traveling when it hit the car, but they did say that alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in the incident. As we all know, accidents like this don’t just happen in Seattle, but in the outlying communities like Federal Way as well. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports over 30,000 fatal motor vehicle accidents annually across the country and here in Washington State. Sadly, rear-end collisions can be especially dangerous because in many cases, the occupants of the vehicle in front may never see the car coming. In this case, we may never know why the SUV hit the car, but it certainly seems like an accident that did not need to happen. If you or a member of your family have been seriously injured in a auto wreck, knowing what to do after your injuries are treated can be very hard. In many cases, insurance companies may try to avoid paying claims, some injuries may not show signs immediately, and sometimes after a traumatic event it is just difficult to sort things out. At these times, it is a good idea to contact an experienced Federal Way auto accident attorney who can help ensure that your accident does not become a financial disaster for your family.
