As a Bellevue auto accident lawyer, I have seen my share of tragic stories. Nothing is as tragic as when a young life is taken. A recent Washington car accident, claimed an innocent life earlier this week. A 4-year-old girl was killed in a single vehicle crash in Shelton. The fatal car accident happened around 6 p.m. on Wednesday. According to the Washington State Patrol, Nicole George, 28, was driving northbound on Highway 101. In the next lane, a 19-year-old woman signaled to change lanes. However, when she noticed George’s vehicle in her blind spot, she turned off her turn signal and stayed in her lane. As a result, George reacted and then overcorrected her vehicle. She went off the roadway hitting a group of trees. The two passengers were airlifted to local hospitals. The 4-year-old girl was taken to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital where she later died. We are very sorry hear of such a tragic loss. We will keep the family in our thoughts.
