Alcohol was Involved in U.S. Soccer Player Charlie Davies’ Car Accident | Seattle Personal Injury and Wrongful Death Lawyer
On October 13th, United States Men’s Soccer Team player Charlie Davies was seriously injured in a car accident in Washington D.C. Davies was in poor condition following the auto accident with several broken bones and an injured bladder. One of the passengers in the car was killed. After a number of operations, Davies is now doing much better and has recently begun rehabilitation. It was just reported last week that the driver of the vehicle admitted to drinking before the accident. While many people were suspicious at the time, because the incident took place late at night, it is now confirmed that alcohol played a role in this accident. Davies is known world wide for his athletic ability and is a role model to many. Whether you are a celebrity, an athlete, a parent or a friend, a drunk driver is always dangerous and cancause tragedy. Please keep this in mind over the holidays whether you will be driving when people may have been drinking, or whether you have been drinking and have to make the choice whether or not to risk it and drive home. In the latter scenario, don’t do it. Call a taxi and make the roads safer for all of us.
