Auto Accident Sends 3 to Harborview | Seattle Car Wreck Attorney
There are many distractions for drivers, but it is each drivers responsibility to drive safely to protect themselves and everyone around them. As a Bellevue Car Accident Attorney at a Personal Injury law Firm, I know the dangers of distractions on the road and the severe consequences that can result from them. No matter what time of day or where you are located, all automobile drivers need to be aware of their surroundings and how to avoid a serious auto accident. A man driving of a Ford Sedan was traveling through Ballard in the early evening on Thursday, October 21st, when he slammed into the back of a Subaru carrying two passengers. The Subaru caught fire and the occupants: a 40-year old man and 4-year old girl sustained critical injuries. Three other cars in front of the Subaru were also waiting at the intersection of 45th Ave NW and 75th St when they were jolted by the accident. These drivers and nearby spectators acted quickly to extinguish the flames and extract the girl from the wreckage as the police and fire department arrived to tend to the two drivers. The passengers of the Subaru were taken to Harborview Medical Center along with the driver of the Ford Sedan, all with life-threatening injuries. There are many causes leading to serious auto accidents that can easily be avoided. Most common among these are talking on a hand-held cellular phone, texting while driving, and drowsy driving. Accidents, such as these, can be prevented by simply paying attention to the road and putting down the cell phone. Because distracted driving is such an enormous issue I created, Teens Against Distracted Driving, a program which informs teens about the dangers of texting while driving and takes pledges to stop this dangerous behavior.
