As a Seattle car accident and personal injury lawyer, I have seen how reckless driving can cause terrible auto accidents that endanger everyone on the road. This weekend, a Bellevue man was caught driving at speeds over 135 miles per hour on the State Route 520 Bridge.

Vladislav O. Orlovskii, 24, was driving his 2008 BMW M6 eastbound when he was spotted driving up to 150 mph in a 50 mph speed zone. The incident occurred at about 1 a.m. on Saturday.

According to a state trooper, the man was aggressively swerving between cars at dangerously high speeds when he was pulled over near Medina. Orlovskii was arrested and later released after posting bail.

Vladislav did not say why he was in such a hurry. However, officials believe he is just another aggressive, negligent driver.

Police say the man traveled 2.59 miles in 1 minute and 8 seconds, meaning he was driving at a speed of 137 miles per hour. It appears alcohol was involved. His blood alcohol level registered at 0.081 percent.

This is not the first time Orlovskii has been cited for reckless driving. He has been pulled over numerous times in the past for speeding. He has been booked into jail for investigation of a DUI. A man like this does not belong on our roads and neither does anyone for that matter who decides to drive under the influence and speed at such high levels. This guy is a wrongful death lawsuit waiting to happen.
