Around 3:30 pm January 27^th a three car accident occurred on Bald Hills Road, just south of Yelm, Washington. A 1989 Ford truck was stopped on Bald Hills Road trying to make a left hand turn onto 128^th Ave when the accident occurred. A small sedan rear-ended the pickup truck, striking it with enough force to send the truck spinning into the oncoming traffic.

The truck was then hit by an oncoming vehicle which caused it to roll several times before coming to a rest. The driver of the pickup sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center where he remains. Two young passengers riding in the truck were taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

The driver who caused the accident received a citation for second-degree negligent driving.
