The variety of distractions for drivers has grown exponentially in recent years. One accident occurred early this week most likely caused by distracted driving. On Monday morning, January 10th, two occupants were seriously injured when the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a utility pole in Seattle. They were traveling westbound along Southwest Charlestown Street close to intersecting 47th Ave. SW in a black Buick Sedan when the driver lost control of the vehicle and smashed into the pole. The force of the impact knocked the utility pole down causing a power outage in the surrounding areas. Both the driver and the passenger were transported to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.
