It is always difficult to learn of young lives lost in tragic accidents, especially as a father of two young children myself. As a Seattle personal injury lawyer and Washington wrongful death attorney, I have seen many people struggle with these tragedies and understand just how difficult it can be.

In Calgary, a child was killed after falling into the space between the train and the platform. The fatal accident happened around noon on Tuesday at the 3rd Street SW C-Train platform.

The young boy and an older man were running to catch a train, which was pulling away from the platform. The boy fell and died before the EMS arrived.

Officials believe the victim was under five years of age.

Witnesses became very emotional as they talked to police about the accident.

The family had trouble talking to police. Apparently, there was some kind of language barrier and interpreters were sought.

Again, we are very sorry to learn of this tragic death. We offer our condolences to the victim’s family.
