Several recent studies have shown that the death rates for those involved in traumatic injuries, such as an automobile accident which causes injuries, are significantly lower when the injured person has been drinking. This doesn’t seem exactly fair that the drunk guy that caused the accident walks away while the innocent car accident victim is killed, however, it may be the case.
