Driver Sentenced for the Death of Baby in Fife Hit-and-Run Car Crash | Seattle Car Accident Lawyer
The worst Washington auto accidents sometimes take the lives of the most innocent victims. As a practicing Seattle car accident attorney and Washington personal injury lawyer, I have seen some very tragic car accidents in the Seattle area. Back in January, there was a hit-and-run car accident that killed a 3-month-old baby. The driver of the vehicle, Matthew Hamilton, has now been sentenced to 8 years for the hit-and-run car accident. The auto accident took place in Fife. Hamilton drove through a red light, struck the vehicle and then took off. Sadly, Jayden Wayman was on the side of the car that was hit. He was rushed to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital where he later died. Hamilton openly admitted to drinking earlier that night and said he was tired of living such a reckless life. He then asked the judge for a fair punishment. The Wayman family was devastated by the death of their son and had no sympathy for Hamilton. They asked the judge to give him the maximum sentence. Hamilton claims he left the scene of the accident because he had a suspended driver’s license. We are very sorry the Wayman family must endure such a tragic loss. It is truly sad that such a young life was lost in this auto accident. Leave a Reply |
