Drunk Driver Survives Mid-Air Rolling Crash

It wouldn’t be a holiday weekend without a few tragic alcohol-related car accidents. A 46-year-old woman from Forks is in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center after surviving an amazing auto accident after veering off the road on Highway 101. The Washington State Patrol believes that the woman, whose name has not been released, was under the influence of either drugs or alcohol when she crashed. The woman was driving a Mazda pickup when she drove off the road and into a ditch, but she didn’t stop there, her truck continued down the ditch before slamming into a highway sign which launched her truck into the air and caused it to start rotating in the air and continue to roll once she hit the ground before finally landing on the passenger side.

This woman was extremely lucky to be alive after such a huge auto accident but she is also very lucky that no one else was injured because she could have easily caused serious personal injuries or even the wrongful death of an innocent person. As a Seattle auto accident lawyer I still find it hard to believe that people continue to get behind the wheel intoxicated with the amount of devastating auto accidents that take place every year due to alcohol. There is no excuse for driving drunk, plan ahead, if you know you are going to drink make sure that you have a ride home.
