Edmonds Man Dies in Wrongful Death Auto Accident | Washington Personal Injury and Wrongful Death LawyerThe family of a 63 year old Edmonds man is mourning his wrongful death after he was involved in a fatal auto accident on Tuesday. The man was stopped at a red light on Eastbound 220th Street SW at 76th Avenue W. early Tuesday morning when a pickup truck crashed into the back of the man’s van. After being rear-ended, the man’s van proceeded to smash into the car in front of him. After the accident, the driver of the van was immediately taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Shortly after, the man died from his injuries. The other two drivers also suffered injuries, both not life threatening. Police are investigating the auto accident. Every year at this time, Western Washington begins to receive substantial rainfall. Since the summer months were drier, the oils from vehicles collected on the roadways. During the first few weeks of rains, those oils come out and make the roads even more slippery than they would be with just the rainfall alone. Combine this with local drivers’ unfamiliarity with driving in the rain because of the dry summer months, and you have a dangerous or deadly condition.
