According to Kitsap Sun News, a Bremerton police officer was injured in a car crash after another driver failed to stop at a stop sign. The accident occurred around 7:30pm at the intersection of Warren Avenue and Fourth Street in Bremerton. The police officer was driving south on Warren Ave. when a Kansas woman driving a Cadillac Escalade drove through a stop sign into the intersection and collided with the police officer who was driving a Ford Crown Victoria at the time. The police officer was taken to a local hospital with unknown injuries. The driver of the Escalade and a passenger were uninjured during the crash. State troopers are still investigating the incident but they believe drugs and alcohol played a role in the dangerous accident.
