Fatal Auto Accident On West Seattle Bridge | Seattle Personal Injury Lawyer
A fatal rollover accident occurred early Friday morning causing closure of three lanes of the West Seattle Bridge. According to the Seattle Police, witnesses observed a speeding vehicle heading travelling west on the bridge. Witnesses saw the car suddenly swerve striking the north side jersey barrier with such force that after the initial collision the car crossed all four lanes of traffic and struck the south barrier. Luckily, no other cars were involved in the accident. There were also no passengers in the man’s car. The driver died despite repeated resuscitation attempts. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. At this point, it is unclear why the man was speeding, and why he lost control of his vehicle. What we can say is that speeding, not wearing a seat belt, and recklessly driving on a bridge can be fatal. In this case, the driver paid the ultimate price for his decision to drive unsafely. He lost his life.
