Fatal Redmond Auto Accident | Redmond Injury Attorney
Even after spending several years working on fatal car accidents settlements as a Redmond personal injury lawyer I am still shocked and saddened when another death occurs on our streets. Over the weekend a Redmond accident left a young man dead. Saturday, January 8th there were several emergency calls placed around 3 am after some Redmond residents heard what sounded like a car crash near Bell-Red Road and Northeast 40th street in Redmond. Emergency crews arrived at the scene to find a 2000 Acura sedan crashed into a wooded ravine. The car was mangled after it had left the roadway and smashed into a rather large tree. 23-year-old Ever Ramirez was found dead on the scene. Ramirez died from severe trauma to his torso and head. Ramirez was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Police believe excessive speed played a role in the fatal car accident. There were no obvious signs of impairment from drugs or alcohol in the crash. A lack of skid marks on the road indicates there was no attempt to brake or slow down before the accident occurred. Fatal auto accident such as these are extremely difficult to deal with as a loved one or friend of the victim, and sadly there are 46,000 car accident fatalities every single year with speed contributing to 25% of auto accident deaths and 60% of those killed in auto accidents failing to wear a seatbelt. When you drive please be sure to practice safe habits: buckle up and follow all traffic laws.
