Four-Car Collision Causes I-5 Backup | Seattle Car Accident Lawyer

This past weekend, a four-car accident caused a backup on Interstate 5. The incident occurred at 72nd Street around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday.

In a southbound lane, two vehicles slowed as they approached a construction zone. A third vehicle, an Isuzu Rodeo driven by a 22-year-old man approached and hit the second vehicle, causing it to collide into the first vehicle. The impact pushed the first car into another lane, where it struck a fourth vehicle.

The 51-year-old driver of the first vehicle suffered minor injuries from the car accident. She was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma.

Officials say the 22-year-old driver was intoxicated at the time of the crash. Speed is also believed to have contributed to the accident. As he should, the man faces charges of vehicular assault. Driving under the influence is not only dangerous, but also incredibly stupid.

Luckily, no one else was injured in the collision.
