I am a Seattle car accident lawyer, so I am aware of what is happening on our roads. Unfortunately, last week saw more than it’s share of bad car accidents. An I-5 auto accident blocked roadways and disrupted the morning southbound commute near Chehalis. A multiple truck collision took place early Thursday morning when four semi-trucks collided near Chehalis.

It all started when a semi-truck suddenly slowed because of poor visibility, causing another semi-truck to rear-end the first truck. The first collision blocked the southbound lanes.
In an attempt to avoid the first collision, two other semi-trucks swerved off the road.
Luckily, none of the trucks overturned and no serious personal injuries were suffered. One of the semi-truck drivers had only minor injuries and was taken to Centralia Providence Hospital.

According to state troopers, it took three hours to clear the tangle of semi-trucks.
Sometimes, semi truck accidents cause the most personal injuries and property damage. According to the Highway Traffic Safety Administration, in 2008, 677 people were killed and an astonishing 23,000 were injured in large truck accidents. Despite the damage this recent semi truck collision caused, we are very glad that no one was seriously injured.
