Head-On Collision Kills Famous Seattle Conductor | Seattle Fatal Accident Lawyer

As a Seattle wrongful death lawyer and Seattle car crash attorney, I am reminded on a daily basis about the dangers of driving. Sometimes there is simply nothing one can do to avoid a car crash. It is essential to cut down on the risks by avoiding drunk-driving accidents and distracted driving, but a temporary lapse in alertness is all it takes for a crash. Two lane highways can be especially dangerous, as there is such little room for error.

Sadly, an example of this happened around 5:45 p.m. last Saturday. Driving down Highway 20, Seattle music conductor George Shangrow was killed in a head-on collision. A 16-year-old male driver collided with Shangrow when his vehicle, for reasons unknown, crossed over the median from the other side of the road. Shangrow, who was on his way to guest host Methow Valley Chamber Music Festival, killed instantly in the car crash and was declared dead at the scene. The 16-year-old driver was taken to Mid Valley Hospital to be treated for injuries to his collar bone and ankles.

My deepest sympathies go out to the family, friends and fans of George Shangrow, as a tragedy like this is nearly impossible to cope with. Losing a loved family member or friend is an incredibly painful experience.
