Issaquah Man in Fatal Motorcycle Accident near Tiger Mountain | Seattle Motorcycle Accident Lawyer

Many, including me, will agree there is nothing quite like riding a motorcycle. However, motorcycle accidents are some of the most disastrous traffic accidents. In 2008, there were 81 recorded motorcycle fatalities in Washington State according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Unfortunately, motorcycle accidents continue to take lives which are often not the driver of the motorcycle’s fault. On Saturday, a motorcycle accident in Issaquah killed a 57 year-old man. Kenneth Earl Solders died at the scene.

The incident took place at the intersection of Tiger Mountain Road and 241st Place Southeast. An 18 year-old girl driving a pickup truck was making a left turn onto 241ST PL SE when the collision occurred. The motorcycle struck the right rear of the truck. The impact threw the driver over 50 feet, sadly, killing the man.

The girl driving the truck claims she did not see the motorcycle when she made the left turn. Investigators are saying there is no reason to believe that drugs or alcohol contributed to this tragic motorcycle accident. No one else was injured in the collision.

The victim, Kenneth Earl Solders, is a resident of Issaquah. We offer our condolences to the victim’s family.

Please always double check and make sure no one is coming any time you are making a turn. When the weather starts to get nicer, more and more motorcyclists will be on the road. Because they are smaller than cars and many times the riders are wearing dark clothes, you must remain as alert and aware as possible in order to spot them.
