Life Threatening Personal Injuries Result of Bremerton Car Accident | Seattle Car Accident Lawyer
Last night, shortly after 5:00 PM, there was a one car accident when a single car crashed into a power pole in Bremerton, Washington. The auto accident occurred at Union Avenue near Linden Street in West Bremerton. The road remained closed for hours as Puget Sound Energy was working to remove and replace the broken power pole. The driver of the car, a 21-year-old Silverdale man, was driving down the street at a high rate of speed when he lost control and his vehicle rolled over. After rolling, the car then crashed into the power pole causing massive property damage. The passenger in this car accident, a 22-year-old man from Tacoma, Washington suffered life threatening personal injuries and was immediately flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The driver suffered far less severe personal injuries and was taken to Harrison Medical Center. While speed was “definitely a factor”, investigators and police do not believe that drugs or alcohol were involved in this car accident. Most importantly, we must keep the injured man in our thoughts as we hope he makes a full and quick recovery from this accident. I’m sure the driver feels terrible for his actions and we wish him the best and a full recovery as well. Situations like this are common, where a passenger in a vehicle has a auto accident personal injury claim against the driver of the vehicle. Sometimes, people do not want to bring a claim against their friend who may have been negligent and caused them injuries, however, I don’t believe that is a wise decision. Insurance is in place to make us whole when there is a loss, this is especially true when there is a greater loss. The amount that your friend’s insurance premiums may go up as a result of bringing a claim against them is minor in comparison to having your medical bills paid for and your injuries fully compensated. The reason speed limits exist is to ensure the safety of our drivers. The limit is not set so that police have something to give us tickets for; it is set to keep us safe. Please do not speed excessively as one small mistake or distraction can prove to be dangerous.
