Man Arrested in Deadly Shoreline Motorcycle Crash | Bellevue Motorcycle Accident Attorney

As part of national motorcycle safety awareness month, I would like to once again remind riders to be careful on the roads. Motorcycles can be dangerous and let‘s face it, even deadly. As a Seattle motorcycle accident lawyer and Bellevue wrongful death attorney, I regularly see riders injured in the most terrible motorcycle collisions.

Saturday afternoon, a Shoreline man was killed in a motorcycle accident. The incident took place near Elbe at around 3:30 p.m.

Ernest Geer, 33, was riding his motorcycle in the southbound lanes of State Route 7 when a northbound 2002 Toyota 4Runner entered his lane. To avoid a collision, Geer swerved into the northbound lane. However, the driver of the Toyota did the same, hitting Geer head-on.

Sadly, he died at the scene. The 26-year-old driver of the Toyota was taken to Tacoma General Hospital, where he was treated for a sore back.

Investigators say the man was intoxicated at the time of the collision. He has been arrested for driving under the influence and vehicular homicide. This is not only tragic but also extremely frustrating. Drunk driving is a terrible and irresponsible act and this man should be punished for his actions.
