Man Dies in Thurston County Collision | Enumclaw Car Accident Attorney

There was another Seattle car accident this weekend, which ended in a Washington wrongful death. On Sunday, an Enumclaw man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on State Route 8.

The fatal Seattle area car accident happened around 2:15 p.m. near Summit Lake.

According to the Washington State Patrol, Heather M. Rood, 25, was driving eastbound in a 2003 Honda Civic when her vehicle veered off the road and hit a tree. The vehicle rolled over landing on its top.

A 22-year-old passenger, Nathaniel G. Hemminger, was taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital, where he later died.

Rood and two other passengers were also taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital.

Officials believe drugs or alcohol contributed to the deadly collision, which means Rood faces possible vehicular homicide charges.

An investigation is currently underway.

Needless to say, driving while intoxicated is extremely dangerous. Each year, thousands are killed and many more are injured in drunk driving accidents. I would like to remind drivers that even a little alcohol consumption can severely impair driving. So please, don’t drink and drive.
