Man Drives Car into a Pole in Texting AND Drunk Driving Car Accident| Seattle Car Accident Attorney

Keith Bashaw, 38, of Oxford should be the spokesperson for stupid drivers. Thursday night, in Hackettstown, NJ, Bashaw was involved in a car accident when he crashed head on into a utility pole. Not only did Bashaw admit to the police that he was texting right before the crash, but he also failed a field sobriety test. Police smelled alcohol on his breath and Bashaw refused to take an Alcotest at headquarters. Bashaw did not suffer any serious personal injuries but he did fill up his rap sheet. Bashaw was charged with a DUI, reckless driving, refusal to take an alcohol test and ‘improper use of a cell phone.’

Thankfully this was only a one car accident because it would have been an absolute shame if this man had caused injury or worse to someone else. Drunk driving and texting and driving are two of the most dangerous things you can do behind the wheel. The report said Bashaw was driving a 2010 Mercedes Benz. My question is, how does someone this negligent, careless and dare I say, dumb, end up with such a nice car?
