People are killed in Washington auto accidents and around the country almost every day. In fact, getting into a car is probably the single most dangerous thing that we do every day. As a Seattle car accident attorney and Bellevue personal injury lawyer, I know how dangerous the roadways can be. I have seen it first hand by representing those who have been seriously injured or killed in Seattle auto accidents.

On Tuesday, a man was struck by three vehicles on Interstate 5. Sadly, he did not survive the impact and died at the scene.

The incident occurred at about 2:30 a.m. on the Lake Washington Ship Canal Bridge.
The State Patrol says the 29-year-old man aggressively walked into the southbound lanes.
Apparently, the man did the same thing only two days earlier. He walked into traffic and was struck by a vehicle on the bridge. Police took the man to Harborview Medical Center.

According to King 5 News, the man told police he was trying to kill himself.
The area was closed several hours for investigation.

We are very sorry to learn of this tragic accident. We offer our condolences to the friends and family of the victim.
