Motorcycle Accident Injures Gig Harbor Man | Seattle Personal Injury Law Firm
As a Seattle motorcycle accident lawyer and rider myself I realize how important a Motorcycle training schools can be to the wellbeing of a rider. These classes teach the ins and outs of motorcycle safety- how to deal with adverse road and weather conditions and how to avoid fatal motorcycle accidents caused by other vehicles on the road. Sadly, most riders don’t take these invaluable courses even though inexperienced riders contribute to 93% of motorcycle accidents. Simple mistakes can mean life or death to a rider with nothing but a layer of clothing and a helmet standing between them and the hard asphalt. A Gig Harbor man was injured in one of these inexperienced motorcycle accidents just this week. On Thursday, September 9th, 55-year-old Steven McCoy was riding on Canyon Road just north of Selah when he drifted off the roadway. His motorcycle proceeded to role before it came to a rest along the shoulder of the road. The accident happened on northbound Canyon Road just before 1 p.m. without inclement weather or roadway conditions to blame- inexperience has been determined to be the cause of the accident. Luckily, McCoy was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and only sustained a broken shoulder in the incident. Leave a Reply |
