Jim Caviezel, the actor who played Jesus in the controversial film, “The Passion of the Christ” was in a motorcycle accident in Leavenworth, Washington. Fortunately, Caviezel only suffered minor injuries in the accident.

Cavizel was riding his 2006 Harley Davidson when for an unknown reason someone threw a bicycle directly into the path of the motorcycle. Caviezel was unable to maintain control and crashed. Caviezel, who was born and raised in Washington was taken to a local hospital and treated for his injuries. Caviezel was wearing a helmet and was fortunate to avoid more serious injuries.

Clearly, wearing a helmet is a critical step to avoid serious and potentially life threatening injuries from a motorcycle accident in Washington. However, just wearing a helmet is no guarantee that you will be as lucky as Jim.
