A motorcycle rider was fatally injured when his motorcycle collided with a minivan in Edmonds on Thursday. The fatal accident occurred on SR-104 and Dayton Street. Police report that the motorcycle rider was a 53 year-old Port Orchard man.

Although details are still a bit sketchy, what we do know is that this accident occurred at an intersection. Motorcycle riders are particularly vulnerable at intersections because of the possibility of cross traffic and the low visibility of the motorcycle.

If you drive a car, please be extra vigilant to look out for motorcycle riders that may be harder to see than automobiles. If you ride a motorcycle, remember that cars may not see you even though you see them
