NFL Superstar Adrian Peterson Pulled Over for Driving 109 MPH | Seattle Personal Injury and Wrongful Death Lawyer
One of the best ways to prevent car accidents, personal injuries, or wrongful deaths is to drive the speed limit, or at least a reasonably safe speed. When learning to drive,we are all taught to drive the speed limit and to avoid reckless or negligent behavior. One person that should not be used as an example for how to drive safely is Minnesota Viking’s star Adrian Peterson. Peterson was clocked by police to be speeding at 109 MPH on a suburban Minneapolis highway last weekend. That was nearly double the 55 MPH speed limit in that zone. Peterson was on his way to the team hotel the night before a game in Minnesota. Peterson admitted that he was trying to get to the hotel on time to avoid punishment for arriving late, yet said “I know it’s not a valid excuse.” There is never a valid excuse for driving at such a dangerous speed and Peterson will be punished for his negligence.Minnesota Sen. Steve Murphy said that there will be an automatic suspension of Peterson’s license because he was driving over 100 MPH. Speeding under any circumstance is dangerous, but when it reaches over 100 MPH it becomes absolutely ridiculous. Perhaps pulling over Peterson and citing him for his recklessness saved someone’s life that day. As a respected individual and role model to many fans, hopefully Adrian Peterson has learned his lesson. In order to help prevent auto accidents which may result in serious personal injuries, please drive safely. Leave a Reply |
