North Bend, Washington Wrong Way Driver Causes Fatal Head On Car Accident | Seattle Auto Accident Lawyer
Early Saturday morning, in North Bend, Washington, a wrong-way driver caused a fatal car accident that resulted in one death and two serious personal injuries. A 25-year-old man was driving eastbound on I-90 just west of North Bend, which is approximately 45 minutes east of Seattle. The only problem was that he was driving eastbound in the westbound lanes. A state trooper was traveling westbound on I-90 and she had to swerve at the last second in order to avoid a collision with the wrong way driver. The trooper avoided the car, but when the wrong way driver corrected in order to miss the trooper he smashed head on with a bakery delivery truck. The wrong way driver died at the scene as a result of injuries suffered in the accident. There was also a female passenger in the wrong way vehicle. The passenger and the driver of the delivery truck were immediately taken to Harborview Medical Center, in Seattle, to treat their serious personal injuries. The case is still being investigated, but authorities believe that alcohol was a factor in this tragic car accident. We hope for a full recovery for the two injured and will keep the family and friends of the man who was killed in our thoughts as they go through this difficult time.
