Oak Harbor Woman Escapes Serious Injury after Crash | Kitsap Personal Injury Attorney
As a Seattle personal injury lawyer, I have seen all sorts of Washington car accidents and motorcycle collisions. It is always a relief when victims escape serious injury and manage to avoid the worst. That is exactly what happened last week to one local woman. In Oak Harbor, Zita Woody escaped serious personal injury after a Highway 20 car accident. The incident occurred around 3 p.m. on Friday. According to the State Patrol, the 74-year-old woman was driving northbound on Highway 20 when she lost control of her 2004 Lexus ES 330. The vehicle veered off the roadway and crashed into a pile of branches near a large telephone pole. Officials say she is lucky the branches were there; the accident could have been much worse had she hit the telephone pole. It is still unclear what caused the accident. One witness, Neal Anderson, says he saw her driving erratically and swerving along the road. When firefighters arrived, they used a chainsaw to free Woody from the vehicle. Aside from some back pain, she escaped the accident uninjured.
