After dealing with countless Washington auto accident cases, I understand the impact a Seattle car accident can have over a victim’s life. Just this Wednesday, a 24-year-old passenger was seriously injured in a Washington dirt bike accident. The incident occurred six miles north of Oak Harbor at the intersection of Childrens Avenue and Nogaterra Way. The dirt bike was driven by 21-year-old Christopher Atkinson of Oak Harbor. According to the State Patrol, Atkinson was driving a 1989 Yamaha dirt bike along Childrens Avenue when he lost control of the vehicle and slid into a parked car. The 24-year-old man suffered serious head and knee injuries. He was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and is currently listed in serious condition. Officers believe he was intoxicated at the time of the accident. Speed also contributed to the collision. He was booked into the Island County jail and is under investigation for vehicular assault. His bail is set at $50,000.
