Pedestrian Killed While Crossing Street
A family in Palmetto, Florida was dealt a crushing blow when a 31 year old mother was killed while crossing the street. Diane Aubut was instantly killed around noon Saturday as she was crossing a highway in Florida. Sadly, this is not the first tragedy for her family. In 2008, Aubut’s 7-year-old, disabled son, wandered away from home and drowned in a pond about 20 yards away from the residence. The boy was blind and autistic. No charges are expected against the driver of the car who fatally struck Aubut. The full story can be seen here. This horrible story should remind us all how deadly crossing the street can be, and how difficult it can be to judge the speed of oncoming cars.
