Distracted driving is dangerous. It can also be deadly. A car accident in Limestone County, Alabama that caused the wrongful death of Edna Barker may have been the result of texting while driving. 23-year-old Feliciano Diaz-Perez ran a red light and crashed into the side of Barker’s car. Barker died at the scene.

Police have not yet filed charges against Diaz-Pererz, but after investigation of the accident this could change. He is suspected to have been texting at the time of the wrongful death accident.

This is a sad reminder of how dangerous texting and driving really is. Please help save lives and put down your phone when you are behind the wheel.
