Reckless Motorcyle Rider Almost Kills Himself
Riding a motorcycle can be a lot of fun, but it can be extremely dangerous when a motorcyclist chooses to drive recklessly, endangering their own lives as well as everyone else on the road. As a Lynnwood motorcycle accident attorney working at a Seattle personal injury law firm I see avid motorcyclists that have suffered extreme personal injuries due to another person’s negligence while driving, but I have also seen too many motorcycle accident happen because the rider was driving too fast . Failing to take notice of your surroundings can endanger the lives of everyone on the road with you and potentially cause the wrongful death of an innocent victim. Sunday afternoon a 41-year-old man, whose identity has not yet been released, was injured trying to avoid a collision with a car while he was riding his motorcycle near Lynnwood. Snohomish County Police officers say that the rider was spotted driving recklessly near the intersection of 152nd Street SW and 52nd Avenue W near Lynnwood when he laid down his bike to avoid a T-bone auto accident with another car. Fortunately the driver was not injured but the motorcyclists had to be taken to Harborview Medical Center. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening but they could have been much worse. All too often we hear about motorcyclists that were killed because they were driving too fast or weaving in and out of traffic or even trying to do stunts on the road. Motorcycle accidents are far more likely to end with the death of the rider because they don’t have anything between them and the road. Reckless motorcycle riders have given cautious motorcyclists a bad reputation. While movies like The Fast and the Furious glorify reckless driving, in real life it is incredibly dangerous and can cause serious personal injuries or wrongfully kill an innocent victim.
