Seattle Car Crash Leaves 1 Dead 1 Injured | Bellevue Personal Injury Law
As a Tukwila car crash attorney and a Seattle wrongful death lawyer I see the horrible devastating car crashes wreak on a daily basis. Sadly, most of these incidents fall at the hands of inattentive or distracted drivers. The reasons for the lapse in judgment vary from cell phone use, in-depth conversations with passengers to simply pulling out in front of someone pre-maturely or not paying attention to someone pulling in front of you. One of these horrible lapses in judgment has left one man dead and another injured. At about 5 p.m. on August 17th a Chevrolet Suburban pulled in front of a Doge sedan headed southbound at the 7600 block of Airport Way South. The Chevrolet hit the Dodge with enough force to crush the car. When help arrived at the scene the man driving the Dodge was already dead. The Chevrolet driver was sent to Harborview Medical Center and is expected to make a full recovery. Investigation into this fatal auto accident is ongoing and we do not yet know if the Suburban turned at an unsafe distance or if the Dodge failed to pay attention. But in either case this tragedy is unsettling and shows the immense responsibility drivers have on the road and how serious a task it is. The reason for the car crash is currently under investigation and it is unknown which party is at fault in this fatal car crash. Sadly, all we can do at this point is send our condolences to the family of the man tragically killed and take from this how big of a responsibility we have on the roads. Losing a loved family member or friend is an incredibly painful experience. Whether it be in a car accident or not, the last thing that you and your family want to have to deal with or worry about is legal issues and complications. You deserve to know that the legal situation will be taken care of with professionalism and respect. Because I believe so strongly in this, I co-authored a book with attorney Patrick J. Kang entitled ‘In Case of Death: Straight Talk on Washington Wrongful Death. We have made this book available free of charge to Washington residents and it can be found by clicking the preceding link.
