According to WFTW in Orlando, FL, two police officers assigned to President Obama’s motorcade while he attended a fundraiser in Lake Mary, FL on Tuesday crashed into each other while the President was leaving the event. As a Seattle motorcycle accident attorney, I am well aware that any motorcycle rider can be involved in an accident, no matter how skilled and no matter how careful they may be. Because motorcycles lack many of the safety features of automobiles, the consequences can be severe. An Orlando Police Department officer rear-ended a Seminole County Sheriff’s deputy, throwing both officers from their bikes and causing minor injuries. The officers were assigned to the rear of the motorcade, and so the accident did not affect the President’s schedule.
