Snohomish Fatal Auto Accident | Everett Wrongful Death Attorney
Over 100 people in the United States die every day because of fatal auto accidents. As a Bellevue wrongful death attorney, I can say that this number is far too high and could be lowered if distractions in cars were eliminated. 40,000 people are killed in distracted driving and alcohol related accidents every year. Sadly, most of these car accidents are avoidable and we could easily lower the death toll by simply driving responsibly, staying alert, and following traffic laws while behind the wheel. Sunday night, October 28th, 25-year-old Houman Attar was killed in Snohomish. The crash occurred when the Bothell man was driving east on Cathcart Way near Highway 9. While approaching the highway, his vehicle slid through an intersection and collided with a tree. State Troopers believe that the car was traveling too fast for conditions on the road. Attar died on the scene. This fatal auto accident, like so many others, was caused by excessive speed. Fortunately, auto accident fatality numbers have been decreasing in recent years, but speed continues to be the top reason for accident fatalities. Safer roads can easily be achieved if drivers choose to exercise good judgment on the road and drive responsibly: always be wary of the speed limit, weather conditions, and level of traction ahead while driving. Losing a loved family member or friend is an incredibly painful experience. Whether it be in a car accident or not, the last thing that you and your family want to have to deal with or worry about is legal issues and complications. You deserve to know that the legal situation will be taken care of with professionalism and respect. Because I believe so strongly in this, I co-authored a book with attorney Patrick J. Kang entitled ‘In Case of Death: Straight Talk on Washington Wrongful Death. We have made this book available free of charge to Washington residents and it can be found by clicking the preceding link. Leave a Reply |
