As the vehicle approached a corner, it couldn’t negotiate the turn and as a result, the Civic left the road and collided with a wooden pole. The 23 year-old passenger sustained broken bones in the face and a fractured leg, while the 25-year-old driver suffered from a broken sternum. Both occupants were taken out of the car and transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. The authorities are investigating the accident to determine if drugs or alcohol were involved.
