Speeding Motorcycle Rider Critically Injured After Losing Control of Bike
As a Renton motorcycle accident lawyer working at a Seattle personal injury law firm I know that summertime is when most motorcycle enthusiasts dust off their bike and head out to enjoy the fresh air. In the past few weeks there have been numerous motorcycle accidents that were caused by rider error and driver error, but there are too many motorcyclists that think that they have superior riding skills and can drive extremely fast or do stunts on the road. I know that there are plenty of very safe riders out there who follow the law and are respectful riders, but the ones that don’t are the ones that make the news when the severely injure or even kill themselves while riding; these daredevils are giving all motorcyclists a bad name. Saturday night a 27-year-old man from Federal Way sustained critical personal injuries when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed in the 3800 block of Southwest Dash Point Road. Witnesses have reported that the motorcyclist was excessively speeding shortly before he crashed, but Washington State Patrol officers are still investigating what caused the rider to lose control. The rider, whose name has not yet been released was transported to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, word of his condition has not been released yet. I know that it must be exhilarating to ride fast and weave around traffic but there is no way that that feeling is worth the risk you pose to yourself and others when you ride like that. Reckless driving is extremely dangerous and when you are on a motorcycle, your chances of sustaining severe personal injuries or even being killed dramatically increase. Leave a Reply |
