In an attempt to create something that will restrict cell phone usage while driving, a company Cellcontrol has developed a device that prevents any texting while the driver’s vehicle is moving. The technology uses a web interface that allows an administrator to block texting and calls with a specified cellular phone. It can be programmed to allow only certain phone calls and has the ability to always make 911 calls. While there are similar devices that rely on GPS technology, Cellcontrol is technology is simpler. It works whenever the car is moving. The device is not very large and has a fleet management as well as a family version. The device can be found and purchased online.
