Teen Girl Charged in Fatal Auto Accident | Bellevue Auto Accident Attorney
Driving under the influence impairs judgment and motor skills that are necessary for operating a vehicle. As a Seattle auto accident attorney, I know that drinking and driving is reckless and may potentially result in devastating accidents. The local station of King 5 News reported that an 18 year old girl has been charged with vehicular homicide due to drinking and driving that ended in three deaths. The driver, Kaylea Souza, tried to pass a car and lost control of her vehicle on November 12th. The vehicle ran off the road and collided with a tree where the vehicle then burst into flames. The three passengers Marcel “Mick” Porter, Robert Knight and Charles “Mack” Porter all died instantly in the crash. Police reports have documented that Souza showed signs of alcohol impairment at the time of the accident. Souza, herself has claimed she may have had a few drinks. Official toxicology results are still pending. Teen drinking and driving is a serious problem that can happen right here in Bellevue neighborhoods.
