Texting May Have Caused Boston Car Crash | Seattle Car Accident Lawyer
As a vocal Seattle car accident lawyer and Washington wrongful death attorney, I’m sure you have noticed by now how I personally feel about texting while driving. Hopefully texting did not cause this latest fatal texting while driving accident. In Westport, police are saying a man was driving 80 mph and texting when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a tree. The man’s vehicle flipped sideways and made a 240 foot skid mark before crashing. Sadly, the 21-year-old driver, Aaron Parsons, instantly died in the crash. There were no passengers in the car. The accident happened at about 10:30 p.m. Thursday night about a mile from the man’s home. After reports were released that Parsons had been texting, the victim’s brother immediately denied the allegations. Cory Parsons admits his brother was an aggressive driver, but says Aaron never texted while driving. He claims the last text message his brother wrote was sent at their home before he left that night. He was letting friends know he was on his way to see them. Despite Cory’s conviction that his brother had not been texting at the time, investigators say the last text message was sent only one minute before the crash occurred Studies now show that texting while driving is as dangerous as driving while intoxicated. Texting is a very dangerous driving distraction that is responsible for causing countless auto accidents. Please refrain from the activity at all times. We will keep the Boston family in our thoughts and prayers.
