Toddler Fatally Injured in University Place Car Accident | Seattle Car Crash Attorney
Each year, many children are hit by cars while riding their bikes or playing in the roads. Not surprisingly, many of these accidents occur very close to home. As a Bellevue car accident lawyer, Seattle personal injury attorney, and father of two young boys I am always saddened when kids are hurt. Especially when the cause is a preventable auto accident. In a tragic auto accident this week, a 3-year-old girl was struck and killed by a vehicle just outside her home. The accident happened around 4:30 p.m. Monday afternoon. At the time, several children were playing in the driveway. The mother’s fiancé asked the kids to move so he could pull out his SUV. All the kids moved out of the way, except 3-year-old Sanius Marcus who was riding her tricycle in front of the vehicle. The 25-year-old driver did not see the girl and hit her as he drove forward. She was rushed to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Sadly, she died before arriving at the hospital. Officials say it is unlikely the man will be charged. It appears it was only a very tragic accident. Our thoughts and prayers are with the girl’s family. Leave a Reply |
