Tragic Accident Kills Jackass Star Ryan Dunn

As a Washington State wrongful death lawyer working at an Issaquah personal injury law firm I know just how devastating it is for a family to lose a loved one in a drunk driving accident. It seems that no matter how many family members or friends we lose to drunk driving, every single day, hundreds if not thousands of people are still making the decision to drink and drive. Drunk driving fatalities have been slowly declining, but even with the decline in 2009 we still had over 10,000 fatal auto accident involving alcohol.

Early this morning, just a few short hours after posting pictures of him and his friends out drinking, Jackass star Ryan Dunn and an unidentified passenger were found dead at the scene of a gruesome car accident. Dunn was driving in West Goshen, Pa. when he lost control of his Porsche, flew over a guardrail and smashed into a tree causing his car to burst into flames. According to West Goshen police, the auto accident was so horrible that Dunn was only identifiable by his tattoos.

As a close friend of Bam Margera, Dunn made a name for himself staring in the Jackass movies and co-hosting a show on the G4 network called “Proving Ground.” Fans were devastated when they heard the news that Dunn had died. Although police have not confirmed that the auto accident was caused by DUI, I hope that all of Dunn’s fans realize that it doesn’t matter who you are or how famous you are drinking and driving affects us all and can take the life of your best friend, child, parent, etc. in the blink of an eye.
