No one should be driving after consuming alcohol. Even if your blood alcohol level is below the legal limit, you are still at a much greater risk of being in a Washington car accident. As a Seattle car accident attorney and Bellevue personal injury lawyer, I would like to remind drivers that any amount of alcohol will impair their ability to drive.

On Sunday afternoon, a local man was driving drunk in the Federal Way area. The State Patrol says he had a blood alcohol level four times the legal limit.

Around 2:30 p.m., the man was seen driving a green Chevrolet pickup along Military Road when he struck a car. He continued south on Interstate 5 and then continued driving erratically on nearby roads. Witnesses say he even tried backing onto a freeway on-ramp.

Officials say the man was being very aggressive. They discovered brass knuckles, methamphetamines and a container of beer inside the truck. His blood alcohol level was registered at 0.340.

The man has been booked in the King County Jail for DUI, third-degree assault, and several other misdemeanors.
