Two Injured in West Valley Highway Crash | Kent Auto Accident Lawyer

If you’ve ever witnessed a side-impact collision, then you know the destructive scene they often create. Not only does this type of Washington car accident cause significant vehicle damage, but it can also lead to serious personal injury. It’s one type of car accident that can cause extensive damage and destruction.

This Thursday, two people were injured in one of these Washington t-bone collisions. The incident occurred on the West Valley Highway around 7:50 p.m.

According to the Washington State Patrol, a pickup truck was traveling southbound when it struck a panel truck at S. 196TH Street. Unfortunately, both drivers were injured and taken to nearby hospitals.

Investigators have not yet determined which driver was at fault. However, an investigation is currently underway.

Fire crews also responded to the accident due to a fuel spill. The area was closed for about an hour as officials cleaned the scene.

Side-impact collisions, like this one, are fairly common. Oftentimes, they occur in intersections, parking lots, multi-lane roads and sometimes in single-car accidents. The severity of property damage and injury all depends on driving speed, vehicle weight, and vehicle safety features.
