Two Pedestrian Accidents in 1 Week | Seattle Pedestrian Collision Attorney
Helping the victims of severe pedestrian collision is one of the things I do as a personal injury Lawyer, Seattle pedestrian accident attorney and Bellevue Wrongful Death attorney. Sadly, fatal pedestrian accidents are extremely common simply because pedestrians do not have any protection when they are hit by a vehicle- they are without a helmet, guards or pads and often suffer severe trauma to their head, face, and body. Flathead County in Montana has had two serious pedestrian collisions in the last week one of which killed a 39-year-old man. The first accident occurred on Saturday, September 25th on U.S. 2 at the intersection of Montclair Drive when two men ran out into the road. The men were struck by a Jeep Cherokee and were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, 39-year-old, Kyle Kindgren, died from his injuries and 33-year-old Rory Holcomb was later taken to Harborview Medical Center where he remains in the intensive care unit in critical condition. Then again on Tuesday a 55-year-old man suffered a severe head injury when he was struck by a car at ninth street. The Driver of the Toyota Tercel that hit the man was making a turn from First Avenue West onto Ninth Street West and was unable to see the pedestrian due to the setting sun. The pedestrian hit the windshield of the Tercel and suffered head injury, a concussion and injuries to his leg. The victim was taken to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries. Drug paraphernalia was found near the scene, but it has not yet been decided if the paraphernalia was associated with the injured man or if the victim was under the influence at the time of the accident. We offer our condolences to the Kindgren family and hope for a speedy recovery for both other victims.
