Woman Nearly Hits Two Officers in Police Chase | Auburn Car Accident Attorney
It’s no secret that alcohol significantly impairs one’s judgment and ability to drive. As a Bellevue personal injury attorney and Seattle car accident lawyer, I have seen horrible Washington car accidents caused by drunk drivers. Unfortunately, when a driver is impaired, things can easily get out of hand. After a crazy July 5th drunk-driving incident, a 27-year-old Auburn woman has been charged with assault, driving under the influence and attempting to elude police. According to the State Patrol, Eve Blake was spotted driving under the influence on July 5th. Auburn police and Muckleshoot security followed her through the Muckleshoot parking lot until she finally pulled over. Apparently, Blake stopped her car and then turned her wheel, pinning one of the Auburn police officers between her car and a golf cart driven by Muckleshoot security. She then drove toward a second police officer who immediately jumped out of the way. Afterwards, they chased her down Auburn Way South until one of the officers hit her vehicle causing it to crash into a tree. Luckily, no one was injured in this crazy incident. Blake was immediately arrested and later released on July 9. This is not the first time she has been arrested for a DUI. She was also arrested back in January for drunk driving and convicted of a DUI in 2003.
