Early Friday morning, December 3^rd, two occupants in a Chevrolet Tahoe were involved in a car accident due to bad weather conditions. It was 6:30am when they were driving eastbound on State Route 24 and the driver, Catarino Balderrama, lost control of the vehicle. The Tahoe then rolled over as Yakima passenger Gregorio Mejia-Maldonaldo was ejected from the SUV. The driver was wearing a seatbelt and sustained no major injuries, however, the passenger was transported to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries. Maldonaldo was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
