Yakima Student Dies in Fatal Auto Accident | Kirkland Injury Lawyer

Just last week a fatal auto accident claimed the life of a Washington high school student.

The accident occurred January 21^st at approximately 8 in the morning when the driver, 21-year-old Jibri R. Rodriguez lost control of his vehicle. The 1992 BMW sedan was driving east on Summitview near Hatton Road in Yakima, Washington. Rodriguez was speeding and passed another vehicle when he lost control striking a fire hydrant. The car then became airborne and crashed into a snow bank.

The 17-year-old passenger, Alejandro Verduzco was rushed to Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center, but shortly after died from his injuries. Rodriguez, the driver of the vehicle, remains at Yakima Regional in satisfactory condition.

Verduzco was from Tieton, Washington and a student at Highland High School.
